about

This song started off as a little blues tune on acoustic guitar. Somewhere along the way it became an all out rock song with big riffs and even a solo (in this day and age?). A little bit of hip hop influence on this one, especially in the drums.

lyrics

Romance

I don't usually take a risk without a follow through
Life's got me swinging by that vine
It's just that you're the only one who gets the solitude and ever really has the time

So it hurts when you say you can't help me
I feel so hung up left to dry
You tell me "Romance couldn't save the sun from evening. It'd be a waste to even try."

I look inside myself in hopes to find the answers
But all I know is just a frame
I had the start, the end, the treasured ever after, but all that's gone it's up in flames

So it burns when you say you don't need me
I feel so gutted I could cry
You tell me "Romance is a word that's lost it's meaning. You love a little then you die."
Oh...

So it hurts when you say you can't help me
I feel so hung up left to dry
You tell me "Romance couldn't save the sun from evening. It'd be a waste to even try."
It'd be a waste to even try
You love a little then you...
